We have been running since 1994 under the guidance of Mestre Gato, one of the founding members of the Grupo Senzala organisation - one of the biggest and well respected groups in Brazil. We currently lead classes in Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham with Professor Tazmania and Instructor Caranguejo.
Capoeira is a Brazilian art form that combines elements of Martial Arts, Dance, Game, Music and Acrobatics. It is one of the fastest growing sports world-wide and will help you to not only improve your fitness but also your balance, strength, agility, flexibility and co-ordination.
Capoeira is a FUN, SOCIAL and CULTURAL sport where EVERYONE is welcome!

Our classes are open to everyone! - whether you are a complete beginner or have been playing Capoeira for years. Capoeira is an activity for the masses, not for the few!
We teach all aspects and styles of Capoeira in a fun and healthy environment. You will not only learn the movements of Capoeira but also the Music, Language and Culture of Brazil.
